Cancel Subscription
You can cancel an active Car Connector subscription from your account at any time. Once cancelled, your subscription will remain active until the current expiry date.
Before You Cancel
Cancelling a subscription stops it from renewing again. You will still be able to use your subscription until the expiry date shown in your account.
After the subscription has expired, you will no longer be able to provision new Car Connector sessions unless you purchase a new subscription.
How to Cancel a Subscription
- Log in to your Car Connector account.
- Go to your account or subscription area.
- Find the subscription you want to cancel in the list.
- Click the Cancel button next to that subscription.
- A cancellation popup will appear.
- Review the cancellation message.
- Add optional feedback if you wish.
- Click Cancel My Subscription to confirm.
Once confirmed, your subscription will be marked as cancelled and a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.
What Happens After Cancelling?
- Your subscription will not renew again.
- You can continue using the subscription until the expiry date.
- Your existing access remains active until the paid period ends.
- A cancellation confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.
- You can reinstate the subscription before it expires if you change your mind.
- You can purchase a new subscription later if you need access again.
Changing Your Mind
If you cancel a subscription but later decide you want to keep it, you may be able to reinstate it before the expiry date.
Cancelled subscriptions that are still active will show as Cancelled in your subscription list. If the subscription can be restored, a Reinstate button will be shown next to it.
- Log in to your Car Connector account.
- Find the cancelled subscription in your subscription list.
- Click Reinstate.
- A confirmation popup will appear.
- Click Reinstate My Subscription to confirm.
Once reinstated, your subscription will continue as normal and will automatically renew on the renewal date shown in your account.
A confirmation email will be sent after the subscription has been reinstated.
If you decide not to reinstate the subscription, click Keep As Cancelled. The subscription will remain cancelled, but you can continue using it until the expiry date.
Once the subscription has expired, it can no longer be reinstated. You will need to purchase a new subscription if you require access again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?
No. You can continue to use your subscription until the expiry date shown in your account.
Will I still be charged again?
No. Once the subscription has been cancelled, it will not renew again unless you reinstate it before the expiry date.
Do I need to cancel hourly, daily or weekly access?
No. Occasional access plans do not renew automatically, so they do not need to be cancelled.
Will I receive confirmation after cancelling?
Yes. A cancellation confirmation email will be sent after the cancellation is confirmed.
Can I leave feedback when cancelling?
Yes. When confirming the cancellation, you can add optional feedback. This helps us improve the service.
Can I change my mind after cancelling?
Yes, provided the subscription has not expired. If the subscription is still within its active period, click Reinstate next to the cancelled subscription in your account.
You will be asked to confirm this in a popup. Once confirmed, the subscription will continue as normal, future renewals will be enabled again, and a confirmation email will be sent.
What happens if I click Keep As Cancelled?
The subscription will remain cancelled. You can continue using it until the expiry date, but it will not renew automatically.
Can I reinstate an expired subscription?
No. Once a subscription has expired, it can no longer be reinstated. You will need to purchase a new subscription if you require access again.
